Hello Fellow brothers I thought I would write a quick guide to the Pi Canis Sorties.

These missions, Pi Canis Sortie Alpha, Pi Canis Sortie Beta and Path of the Warrior, are a group of six missions that can be completed together in around half an hour and they pay out a colossal 4320 dilithium if they are all completed.
The Path of the Warrior is a Daily that can only be completed once every 20 hours and pays out 2400 for completing all the optional objectives across the six sorties.  The two sorties only have cool-downs of 30 mins and pay out 960 each and these consist of three missions each.
They were introduced as missions to be completed as teams but that makes them harder than they need to be and they can be completed solo (this may be corrected in a future patch but while they are there take advantage).

You will need the following to complete them solo:
A raider class (bird of prey) starship, the battle cloak is essential
Some kind of placate ability like Jam sensors however I use Antimatter Spread.

The following are all optional but can help:
Also A Tractor Beam and Scorpion Fighters ( the consumable kind) or the science ability Photonic Fleet can be a great help.
Eject Warp Plasma
Disable Engines

The order I complete the missions is:

Transport Attack
Kern System
Maiewski System
Kalferi System
Ceron System
Eriksson System

You can do them in any order you want however I always start with the Transport attack as it has a separate cooldown and if you fail it or leave it because you have failed the optional then you cannot attempt it again for 15 minutes, so if you do fail or leave it you can go off and do one of the other missions and come back to it.
The way that I do it seems to make it a little less mundane as the alpha sorties are all basically the same and interlacing the bravo missions with them makes the time pass a little more quickly

Kern, Maiewski and Ceron System attacks.

These are basically all the same except in one you have to take out some listening posts.  The objective is to destroy 4 starfleet ships located around a planet.  The optional is that you have to block their communications.  These missions are fairly straight forward and you don't really need a cloak for these ones but I still use a raider and sneak attack them for that little extra damage.  When you get into weapons range (unless you are cloaked, then it is when you decloak or are detected) you have a limited time to block their communications and it is easy to forget so make sure you do it before! you destroy the ship.  They seem to favor ships with real special abilities such as the Galaxy with saucer separation or the Prometheus with multi vector assault.  When you have blocked their communications you have a limited time to destroy the ship but on normal mode there is plenty of time, I think it is about 3 minutes.

Transport Attack

This one is a little tricky but still easily doable solo.  To start the mission you have to approach a transport ship escorted by two starfleet ships flying around sector space around the Kern System.

When you start the mission you will be at the rear of a convoy of six transports and you need to hijack the cargo of 5 of the transports to complete the optional (3 for the mission).  The first of the three transports will be just out of weapons range and then there will be a starfleet ship a little further still and then when you commence your attack another starfleet ship will appear to defend the second row of transports further down the convoy.
There are also three sets of beacons one at the start, a mid way marker and end markers.  If the transports reach the end markers they jump to warp and you have to have completed the objective by then

Start off with a quick impulse jump to get yourself just within range of the transports but remain out of range of the first starfleet ship. Drop to about half speed and commence your barrage of the first transport and then when it is about half way damaged it will capitulate and become friendly and then you mash F to beam the cargo aboard and then start firing on the second transport be very wary especially when using torps attacking the transports as they are very fragile and can be destroyed and you need 5/6.  Be careful as you are attacking the second transport as while you are attacking it the first starfleet ship should just come into range and you do not want to attack it inadvertently.  As long as you stay out of 5k range and do not attack it the starfleet ship should not attack you.  I am not sure if this has something to do with levels of threat control and starship stealth but it never usually attacks me.  Providing you remain unmolested by the starfleet ship continue your attack on the third transport gain its loot and then cloak and make your way to the next three transports.
If you are attacked, you cannot beam cargo while under fire, you have a few options.  Do not engage the ship as this takes too long.  Either use antimatter spread or another placate ability and quickly grab the remaining cargo and cloak and leave or if you have something like the consumable scorpion fighters or the science captain ability phonic fleet summon these then cloak and decloaks so that the ship attacks them.

Attacking the second part of the convoy you have options providing the first part went well.  I usually get to the second part as they are just crossing the half way marker.  You can either sneak attack the defending second starfleet ship or go to the side of the convoy and wait until it goes out of range.  I usually do the latter and then you attack the transports and get your loot.  Again be careful not to destroy the transports.  If the transports are reaching the end of the run abilities like Tractor beam, Disable Engines, Eject Warp Plasma can all be great for giving you extra time.

AN FYI The transport ships will not remain disabled indefinitely, they will repair themselves and start to move again.  If this happens they must be disabled again before they can be pillaged.

Kalferi System

This one is a very straight forward mission and the Optional is ridiculously easy on normal mode.  It is an attack on a starfleet drydock and the optional is to destroy the four ships before they are operational.  Since they have no shields they die easily and then all you have to do to complete the mission is contend with some fighters and runabouts and a starfleet ship.  I destroy drydock ships first get the optional under my belt and then deal with the fighters and reinforcements as the fighters can't even penetrate my shields. My 2 year old son could complete this one so I won't explain it any further :D

Eriksson System

This one can be a little tricky but still can be completed on solo.  It is an attack on a starfleet outpost, when you attack three pairs of transports make a break for marker beacons on the edge of the map and they flee in three different directions, they are protected by pitifully weak civilian transports.  There is a shield that protects a further two transports and the final objective of the mission.  The optional objective of this mission is to pillage 4 transports and the main objective is to destroy the two power relays that keep the shield up and then to pillage the station supplies and destroy the starfleet reinforcements.

The way I do it is this, Full impulse directly into the station and just as you get into weapons range of the first of the civilian ships cloak.  This triggers the evacuation.  Then go under the arm of the station to your right and stalk the first two transports and their defender.  When the rest of the civilian ships are out of range (except the one you are talking) decloak and barrage the defending civilian ship, it should die very easily in the first barrage and then attack and subdue the transports to steal their cargo, like the transport attack these cargo ships can be destroyed so be careful.
If you are quick enough you can catch two more transports these will be to your left so turn left, cloak and full impulse there asap ( they will be about 90 to 110 degrees to your left of you were facing the same way as the transports) same attack plan decloak and barrage the defending ship and then attack and pillage the transports.  These will be very close to the escape beacon when you catch them so you may need a tractor beam or the disable engines power to catch both of them however if you fail to cats these or only catch one of them then do not worry as there are two more transports trapped in the shield.
Sometimes very rarely for no apparent reason when you catch up to these transports the remaining two civilian ships will have tracked you through cloak and attack.  If this is the case then disable the two transports.  Then use antimatter spread and then steal the cargo and destroy the ships however be fast as the transports repair themselves and start moving again and they must be disabled again to take the cargo.

After all the transports have been robbed or escaped and the civilian ships have been dealt with, there are 4 ships, then you can attack the power conduits to drop the station shield.  When this happens a starfleet ship will warp in and the two remaining transports will make a run for it in opposite directions.  Cloak immediately and then approach the starfleet ship and sneak attack it with everything you have. I can sometime manage to wipe it out in one barrage.  If you need either one or both the transports follow them and attack them and pillage them, you have a bit more time with these ones but not much.  Then when your red alert drops you can pillage the station medical supplies and complete the mission.

I hope this helps
